Traevon Jackson to Wisconsin

Posted by CoHoops DeAnte Mitchell
Do you remember the famous Ohio State Buckeye Jim Jackson? His son, Traevon Jackson ended his college quest with Wisconsin. He didn't take the same route as his father, but did end up in the same conference.

The 6-foot-2 guard from Westerville, Ohio received five other offers from different programs, but chose Wisconsin over Akron, Arizona State, Cleveland State, Miami (OH), and Ohio.

The combo guard impressed a lot of scouts with his ability to play both positions. He could play point guard, which seems like the most comfortable place for Jackson, or shooting guard, and produce on the wing.

He is a solid basketball prospect with a lot of upside. Jackson needs to improve his jump shot, mid-range and ability to finish at the rim with both hands.

Wisconsin's 2011 recruiting class got stronger with the acquisition of Jackson. With this upcoming recruiting class, I don't think getting over Trevon Hughes will be as tough.
