A rising junior for the Wake Forest Demon Decons left the team today. Tony Woods, a 6-foot-11 center asked for a release from the school to pursue other options and it was granted.

Woods was recently suspended for 60-days for a misdemeanor assault on a female.

Wake Forest Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik and Woods agreed this wood be the best decision for the junior. Woods played in 31 games last season with the Demon Decons last season averaging 13.1 minutes per game.

He finished with 4.6 points, and 3.2 rebounds per outing.

During his career with Wake Forest Woods scored 3.9 points, and 2.9 rebounds per game.

The Demon Decons didn't loss much here. Wake Forest acquired another 6-foot-11 freshman in Carson Desrosiers that could replace Woods.
