Rivals three-star shooting guard DeMarcus Holland (Naaman Forest HS, TX) finalized his college decision. The former South Florida commit decided to stay local and commit to the Texas Longhorns while on an official visit per sources.
Holland is a great scoring guard with the ability to play both positions in the backcourt. This season as a senior, Holland elevated his stock with his play and showed some great upside at the lead guard position.
Holland joins a stacked Texas recruiting class that features guard Javan Felix, forwards Commer Lammert, Ioannis Papapetrou and centers Prince Ibeh and Cameron Ridley.
Texas 2012 recruiting will more than likely elevate the program, as its already considered a top five recruiting class nationally. Holland will have a chance to see some floor time in the backcourt with Felix and returning point guard Myck Kabongo. This is a great pickup by the Longhorns from one of the more underrated guards in the state.
