7-foot Robert Upshaw (San Joaquin, CA) committed to Kansas State originally over offers from Georgetown, Fresno State and Louisville.
He was set on attending Kansas State, who was coming off a third round apperance in the NCAA tournament until Frank Martin decided to bolt for the South Carolina opening.
Soon after, Upshaw re-opened his recruitment and eliminated both Kansas State and South Carolina as options.
It didn't take long after the decommit for Upshaw to surprise a local school and sign where he was wanted.
Upshaw announced his decision to attend Fresno State and play for head coach Rodney Terry. He becomes the highest rated commit in the Bulldogs 2012 recruiting class and should have a major impact at Fresno State.
He joins shooting guards Marvelle Harris, Aaron Anderson, center Tanner Giddings and Kansas transfer Braeden Anderson.
Look out for Fresno State, as this recruiting class is sure to put them near the top of the WAC conference for years to come.
