Wells Headed to Maryland

Dezmine Wells, a 6-5 guard from Raleigh, North Carolina that attended Hargrave Military Academy (VA), expects to enroll at Maryland following his expulsion from Xavier.

Wells was expelled from the University amid sexual assault allegations that were later not pursued.

Khem Birch Leaving Pitt

The speculation is over. Khem Birch is transferring from Pittsburgh.

The news came as no surprise as many sources have indicated that the 6-8 forward was thinking about transferring for sometime now.

"I enjoyed my time at Pittsburgh," Birch told CBSSports.com. "I love coach [Jamie] Dixon, had no problem with the staff and the players. It just wasn't the right fit for me."

In 10 games this season, Birch averaged 4.4 points and five rebounds per game along with 1.9 blocks in 15 minutes of action per game.

Before making his decision to go to Pittsburgh, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Ohio State, Providence, Texas, St. John's and West Virginia were all in the picture for the 6-9 Canadian big.

It's unclear where Birch will transfer to next but many rumors have already started that he could be Kentucky bound. We'll have to wait and see.

Keion Bell Transfers to Mizzou

Coming out of High School, Keion Bell held offers from Miami (FL), Nevada, Pepperdine, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara and UNLV.

He ultimately chose Pepperdine and didn't waste time making an impact for the Waves.

After spending three years at Pepperdine, the California native decided to transfer to Missouri to finish out his final year of eligibility.

Bell, mostly known for his vicious and eye-popping dunks, will also be an instant scoring threat out of the backcourt for the Tigers.

In the past two seasons, Bell has averaged 18 points per game on around 42 percent shooting from the field.

Bell visited Missouri this past weekend and enjoyed his visit enough to cancel on the scheduled visit to Texas A&M and give a verbal commitment to the Tigers.

Bell, along with Earnest Ross and George Goode are the recent transfers that have all committed to Missouri. Unfortunately, Bell will have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules but will be able to play with the 2012 recruiting class that could shape up to be a top 10 class if everything goes as planned for Frank Haith and company.

Ryan Harrow Sets Up Visit Schedule

Ryan Harrow, the talented 6-foot guard out of Marietta, Georgia recently opted to transfer from North Carolina State and pursue a basketball career and education elsewhere.

As soon as the news was announced, many expected him to go to Kentucky. There were even reports from numerous "sources" claiming that Harrow was on the UK campus after his decision to transfer.

In the end, Matt Jones of KSR and Garrett Tucker of Nationofblue.com both confirmed that the reports were untrue and that he hasn't made a visit to UK yet.

He has received interest from many college programs across the nation but only a select few will get a visit out of talented transfer.

Harrow has set up visits next week to Georgia, Louisville, Kentucky, St. John's and Texas, he said via Twitter.

He also added, "My mom and I will go to the school and make the best decision."

Harrow averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 assist in his freshman season but is expected to improve from his frosh season.

Harrow will have three years of eligibility left and will have to sit out a year before lacing up his shoes and getting back to action for whatever college he choses per NCAA rules.

James Blasczyk Continues His Basketball Career With USC

Thus far, the USC Trojans have been in the news for their NCAA sanctions. Some believe the sanctions are harsh, but it doesn't seem to slow down the schools recruiting efforts.

Head Coach Kevin O'Neill received his third verbal commitment of the 2011 recruiting class.

James Blasczyk, a 7-foot center played his freshman season with the Texas A&M Aggies. He averaged two minutes per game, while pulling down one rebound.

After that outing, Blasczyk redshirted before transferring to a junior college to play basketball.

Blasczyk isn't extremely athletic, but he is an upgrade to USC frontcourt. His 7-foot frame is a plus to any frontcourt. Not to mention, his rebounding and shot blocking ability will advance under coaching from Kevin O'Neill.

Blasczyk will join Byron Wesley, DeWayne Dedmon, Taylor King and Alexis Moore in USC 2011 recruiting class.

J'Mison Morgan Will Have A Big Effect for Baylor

If you ask most, the biggest player in the Big 12 this season will be Kansas State, for obvious reasons. The Wildcats returned more than they lost. However, the biggest improvement will be the team from Waco in Baylor.

Baylor returned LaceDarius Dunn, and Quincy Acey. They also brought in a top-tier freshman talent in Perry Jones from Duncanville, Texas.

With that roster, the Bears were said to compete with every team in the Big 12. However, after a major transfer, the Bears can set their eyes on a Big 12 championship.

J'Mison Morgan, a former center from UCLA, was granted the eligibility to play right away for the Bears during the 2010-11 season.

Morgan, who has two years of eligibility left, will come in and pose a physical post threat.

Looking into his previous statistics, he doesn't seem like the biggest acquisition for the Bears. However, with his 6-foot-10 frame, and ability to play physical in the post, the Bears have themselves a solid post presence.

With Jones and Morgan boasted in the frontcourt, and Acey and Dunn, the Bears have a lot to look forward to next season.

If the Bears establish a second-unit to commend their starters, they will have a chance to play for a Big 12 championship.
