The 2011 recruiting class features some of the best talent we've seen in years. The recruitment of these players is tough because so many schools are after them.

For some, they like their recruiting to be a secret. They give out a list of ten schools or none at all. However, most people like to narrow there's down heading into their senior season of High School.

LaQuinton Ross, the 6-foot-8 small forward from Life Center Academy ratified his recruiting not too long ago. He labeled four schools that could be in the running for his services.

Maryland, Baylor, Ohio State and West Virginia were amongst the top four suitors. The list was down to these four so we awaited a top-three of two from Ross the next time around. However, the next time around, Ross gave us five rather than what we expected.

Out of the five, Maryland had been left unnamed while Syracuse jumped in and claimed their spot on his recruiting trails. Ross didn't commit to Maryland but it was still a huge loss for the program. The Terps’ need a player of his caliber to energize the fan base after the departure of Greivis Vasquez.

Ross is a blue-chip prospect that will be beneficial to any team he attends. He has a great shooting stroke that commends well with his big frame. His top five has been spoken off, now it's time to wait and let everything play out itself.
